B-Side was one of four design studios that students took part in for the Making+Meaning 2021 Summer digital design program at SCI-Arc; the design workshop investigated optical effects by simultaneously exploring form, material, and light. The start point for the section looked at the 3D extrusion of various fonts of the Alphabet B. Every stage involved creating and evolving a 3D singular object, and participants played with various optical materials, lights, and the camera to create fantastical effects.
Ethereal was a Speculative Architectural research project that was a part of the "Not Making Architecture" Studio Instructed by Hernan Diaz Alonso and Rachael McCall. The premise of the research studio was to steer away from traditional forms of exploration, design, and representation within architecture and to come up with unusual, absurd ways to explore architectural design. Ethereal explored the aesthetic of "the magical" through a series of formal and visual compositing experiments, gradually evolving into a series of abstract, mysterious objects created through careful digital sculpting and simulations.

Urban Fabric Rugs creates abstracted depictions of our built environments by taking flat urban street grids and conveying them in extruded reliefs with soft hand-knotted and carved wool and silk. Each Urban Fabric Rug attempts to illustrate the uniqueness the city depicted. The compositions, together with the selected colors, celebrate this uniqueness and convey a sense of place.
“Fold Chair” is a 3D printed dining chair produced by Xuberance, Shanghai. The chair is available in wood or four colorways: pink, yellow, green, grey. The shape of the chair is based on a continuous form, printed on its side using advanced recycled plastic polymers or recycled wood. The pattern continuously wraps around the billowing surface, doubly curved for structural stability.

The Guangzhou Stadium Complex for Evergrande, is interested in employing sinuous lines to create a new kind of entertainment experience. Characterized by a series of repeated organic curves, the building has a sense of elegant motion reminiscent of the complex choreography of the football game taking place within.
Kinetic was one of four design studios students participated in for the Making+Meaning 2023 Summer digital design program at SCI-Arc. This Making + Meaning section focused on exploring the concept of Kinetic (Motion) through Procedural Modeling and Animation in Cinema 4D (C4D).
inVisible - Dominion Energy Crystal Substation
“inVisible” - Atelier Manferdini proposal for Dominion Energy consists of two stacked expansive, frontal, bleeding fields—fusing form and colors, that divide horizontally the façade. The lower half represents a vibrant electric field, rendered in colorful ceramic tiles; the upper half represents a folded sky, carried out in monochrome metal panels. In between a single horizontal division of the facade that calls up associations with an unreachable horizon.
